2008 Convention- The Homestead

Larry Checca, Chairman

I  KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER…

Around the end of July you packed up the car and probably headed off to Virginia Beach and most of the family considered it as three “Fun Filled Days of Sun and Surf.”  To you, this particular trip was reserved for the Virginia Modular and Manufactured Housing Association Annual Convention.

While it is an opportunity to renew friendships and discuss the current business climate, it also offers a respite for some much needed relaxation in what has been the busy period of the year.  In the past from April to October, the pace has been hectic in the manufactured Housing business.  It is difficult to put together two or three days at this time of the year in order to relax and unwind.  Leaving during the busiest time of the year might not seem like the greatest of ideas!

However, do you remember the fun you had learning (or trying to learn) to juggle?   A gentleman, named Curtis Zimmerman asked you how you were doing and you responded with “Okay” or “Fine”.   But for the next several days your response to the question was “Living the Dream!”  And you were.

Later that day, you played golf, enjoyed the sun on the beach, walked on the Boardwalk, went shopping or any of the million other things you can do in Virginia Beach.

This year promises to be just as relaxing and fun filled in the mountains of Western Virginia at The Homestead.  Golf, an afternoon at the Spa, lounging around the pool, shooting at the Sporting Pigeons, hiking on the trails, shopping, horseback riding or whatever.  The Homestead offers many unique opportunities for you to relax and unwind.  Come and join us from July 29 – 31, 2008.   Then you can say, “I am living the dream!”
